1. In a large pot, cook the sausage over medium heat until browned. Remove the sausage from the pot and set aside.

2. In the same pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the cooked sausage back to the pot.

3. Pour in the heavy whipping cream and stir well. Bring the mixture to a simmer.

4. Add the cheese tortellini to the pot and cook according to package instructions until tender.

5. Once the tortellini is cooked, remove from heat. Serve hot and garnish with grated cheese if desired.
