Teriyaki Chicken
Tender chicken breasts are seared until golden, then glazed in a glossy homemade teriyaki sauce that balances salty soy, sweet sugar, and mellow mirin. This simple main dish delivers bold, restaurant-style flavor with just a handful of pantry ingredients.

Follow the steps below to cook the desired recipe
1. Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels so they brown nicely and cook evenly.
2. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and grated ginger until the sugar is mostly dissolved.
3. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
4. Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for 5 to 6 minutes on the first side without moving them, until deeply golden.
5. Flip the chicken and cook for another 4 to 6 minutes, or until nearly cooked through and the juices run mostly clear.
6. Reduce the heat to medium-low and pour the teriyaki mixture into the skillet around the chicken.
7. Simmer the sauce for 2 to 4 minutes, turning the chicken occasionally, until the sauce thickens into a glossy glaze and coats the chicken well.
8. Continue cooking until the chicken is fully cooked through and the glaze has reduced slightly, then remove from the heat and let rest for 3 minutes before slicing or serving.
