Follow the steps below to cook the desired recipe

1. Press the tofu for at least 15 minutes to remove excess moisture, then cut it into bite-sized cubes for maximum crispiness.

2. In a bowl, combine the cornstarch, chili powder, ground cumin, and salt, mixing well to create an even seasoning blend.

3. Add the tofu cubes to the spice mixture and gently toss until every piece is evenly coated on all sides.

4. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering, then add the tofu in a single layer without overcrowding the pan.

5. Cook the tofu for 8-10 minutes, turning occasionally, until all sides are golden brown and crisp. Transfer to a plate and let it cool slightly so the coating stays crunchy.

6. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or directly over a low flame for a few seconds on each side until soft and pliable.

7. Assemble the tacos by dividing the shredded lettuce among the tortillas, then top with diced tomatoes, crispy tofu, and avocado slices.

8. Spoon salsa over the top just before serving, and serve immediately while the tofu is still crisp and the tortillas are warm.
