Boiled Chicken with Vegetables
Tender chicken breast is gently simmered with sweet carrots, broccoli, and peas for a light, comforting main dish. Seasoned simply with salt, pepper, and herbs, this wholesome recipe delivers clean flavors and a nourishing, home-cooked finish.

Follow the steps below to cook the desired recipe
1. Step 1: Pat the chicken breast dry and season it lightly with half of the salt, half of the pepper, and the herbs and spices.
2. Step 2: Place the chicken in a large pot and add enough water to fully cover it by about 2 inches.
3. Step 3: Bring the pot to a gentle boil over medium-high heat, then immediately reduce to a low simmer to keep the chicken tender.
4. Step 4: Skim off any foam that rises to the surface during the first few minutes of simmering for a cleaner broth.
5. Step 5: Simmer the chicken for about 12-15 minutes, or until it is nearly cooked through and no longer pink in the center.
6. Step 6: Add the carrots to the pot and continue simmering for 5 minutes so they begin to soften without breaking apart.
7. Step 7: Add the broccoli florets and peas, then simmer for another 3-5 minutes until the vegetables are just tender and bright in color.
8. Step 8: Taste the broth and adjust with the remaining salt and pepper as needed.
9. Step 9: Remove the chicken from the pot and let it rest for 2 minutes before slicing it into thick pieces.
10. Step 10: Serve the sliced chicken with the boiled vegetables and a little of the cooking broth spooned over the top.
