Green Lentil Lasagna

A delicious and hearty vegetarian lasagna made with green lentils and lasagna noodles.

Green Lentil Lasagna

Follow the steps below to cook the desired recipe

1. Cook the green lentils according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

3. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onions and minced garlic, and cook until onions are translucent.

4. Add chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Stir well to combine.

5. Simmer the tomato sauce for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.

6. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).

7. In a greased baking dish, layer the cooked lasagna noodles, followed by a layer of cooked green lentils, and then a layer of tomato sauce. Repeat this process until all the ingredients are used, ending with a layer of tomato sauce on top.

8. Sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese on top of the lasagna.

9. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes.

10. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.

11. Allow the lasagna to cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
