Homemade Pancakes
These homemade pancakes are soft, lightly golden, and wonderfully simple, made with just a few pantry ingredients. Served warm, they have a tender crumb and comforting flavor that makes them perfect for breakfast or a cozy snack.

Follow the steps below to cook the desired recipe
1. Step 1: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the wheat flour and pinch of salt. If using, add the sugar and baking powder as well and whisk to distribute evenly.
2. Step 2: Make a well in the center of the dry ingredients and pour in the 1% milk. If using, add the egg and oil or melted butter.
3. Step 3: Whisk gently until the batter is just combined. A few small lumps are fine; avoid overmixing so the pancakes stay tender.
4. Step 4: Let the batter rest for 5 to 10 minutes while you preheat a nonstick skillet or griddle over medium heat.
5. Step 5: Lightly grease the pan with a small amount of oil or butter. When a drop of batter sizzles gently, the pan is ready.
6. Step 6: Pour about 1/4 cup of batter per pancake onto the hot pan, leaving space between each one.
7. Step 7: Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, or until bubbles appear on the surface and the edges look set. Flip carefully and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes until golden brown.
8. Step 8: Transfer the pancakes to a plate and repeat with the remaining batter, greasing the pan lightly as needed.
9. Step 9: Serve warm as is or with any toppings you have on hand, such as butter, fruit, syrup, or yogurt.
